Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Here's a little something about our students:

Our students are highly technology oriented and from diverse cultural backgrounds and low to middle house hold income levels.

The students are 21st century learners who learn best through the use of technology.

In addition, technology gives greater differentiation to student instruction by introducing a much wider selection of topics and the ability to greater utilize learning styles such as visual and kinetic learners.

Also, as mentioned above, some students live at an income level which limits their technology at home so school is where they get the most experience with educational technology.

My Project

Chromebooks are used extensively in my classroom, and the purchase of this extra cart will insure my inventory is charged, protected and secure.

Chromebooks are used for literacy, math, and technology education in my classroom.

In addition to teaching students technology skills, such as keyboarding, word processing, presentation slides, spreadsheets, and other software, the Chromebooks are used for iReady which is the main program we use to test and track student growth when it comes to their literacy and math learning.

The Chromebooks are used for all of these functions in all our classrooms so this project effects all students at Hall-Woodward.
