My Students

My 3rd graders are creative, active, and intuitive.

They are enthusiastic, motivated learners who enjoy hands-on activities that allow them to collaborate and think outside the box. My students also cover a large range of academic and language ability levels. As a Social Studies and Literacy teacher, I am always looking for new and exciting ways to keep my students engaged and involved in every lesson.

My Project

The QBall Throwable Microphone connects to classroom speakers and effectively increases student participation and engagement. Students are also activating their kinesthetic intelligence by tossing the ball to one another and the teacher throughout the learning discourse. This tool also allows hearing impaired students to be actively engaged in the classroom conversations as it can be connected directly to hearing amplification devices.

With the QBall, all students will know their voice is heard and valued, and feel empowered.

Learners will develop their speaking and listening skills in a new and exciting way. Academic and social growth will be cleverly disguised as fun!
