Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with a diverse group of students. They are passionate about learning and many have an affinity for technology and computer science.
Although some of them face some difficult issues at home they come to school every day with smiling faces.
It's a joy to see their passion and energy in the classroom.
Many of them will face big challenges growing up as they come from socioeconomically challenged and immigrant families. They should be given every opportunity they can to succeed.
My Project
The 3-D printer will be used by students in order to increase and promote creative, design, critical thinking, and STEM skills. Students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds will have access to a piece of technology that could greatly impact their future career choices.
The goal of this project is to support the future workforce of New Mexico by creating inventors that can solve real-world problems.
The 3-D printer will be used by teachers with support from the digital learning coach to enhance the curriculum for students. The digital learning coach will support teachers and students that are interested in utilizing the technology to support teaching and learning.
