My Students

My kiddos come from very diverse backgrounds. My kiddos are creative, reflective and talented! They come to school each day ready to learn and to be risk-takers in order to further their academic foundation.

They are fully engaged and love hands-on activities.

In this class, we build a community that is open-minded and with students willing to take risks. All of the resources chosen will create an alternative way to assess learning. All of the resources will be used weekly, if not daily.

My Project

In our classroom, we use technology to support learning! Though headphones are part of our district school supply list, the majority of my students do not or cannot purchase them. Our class has a 1:1 ratio of iPads to students, and we use this technology for most subjects! When our iPads are being used in math and reading, students are in rotations and working on separate activities. The Avid On-Ear Headphones will allow my students to focus on the concepts they are learning without the distraction of hearing other students' activities while they work. We focus on respect and community, so I know the headphones will be treated with respect and taken care of well.
