My Students

When teaching middle school physical education students in grades 6-8, there is a lot of energy and excitement with learning in the gymnasium setting. These students enjoy being actively engaged in physical activity both inside and outside of the gymnasium.

My students are looking to engage in a level of fitness that can sustain them throughout their lives.

In doing so, they must try activities that are both new to them and out of their comfort level as well as gain growth in the activities they have experience in.

My Project

The use of music in my gymnasium will be a daily occurrence through the use of the bluetooth speaker systems. With the use of these speaker systems in the classroom, it will benefit those students who learn through multiple intelligences including kinesthetic and music.

Music naturally allows students to become more active through movement and will allow them to freely engage in learning while reducing stress.

Music helps students actively engage in physical activity while having fun. With the use of portable music systems, it will allow for students to have music throughout the gymnasium, pool area, and during outdoor activity in the field/sports areas.
