My Students
My fantastic first graders are eager to learn. Our school is located in an urban school district, but that does not stop us from doing our best!
True learning comes from collaboration at any age!
Kindness is a thread that is weaved throughout our curriculum. My students love to work together to create all kinds of different projects from Language Arts to Math, from Science to Social Studies! We build each other up and work as a team! We are made up of a nice mix of ethnic backgrounds as well as academic backgrounds. We work together as a team to learn and grow!
Our school serves students from Pre-K to Grade 8. We provide rigorous yet fun academics in a safe atmosphere where students feel comfortable building upon their learning each year in preparation for high school and beyond.
My Project
Most kids like to build with LEGOs! Using these LEGO kits as a center will help develop and enhance my students' problem solving skills.
Students will work in teams or pairs to complete different tasks using the LEGO blocks to build.
Once the task has been built, the students will be given differentiated activities to complete as a follow up to their lesson. I feel the LEGO Kits along with the follow up activities will help my students learn to work together to complete tasks and solve problems! Teaching my students to work together at a young age will help them to become helpful, caring citizens in life!
