My Students
My students come from all over Philadelphia from a variety of different backgrounds, to develop their understanding of the arts. Our school district is one of the largest in the nation and funding for the arts is often extremely scarce, which can make things difficult at a Creative and Performing Arts High School. Our kids have the will, but need help along the way.
My goal is to provide safe and dynamic learning environments for students who have the desire to excel in the Visual and Performing Arts.
My Project
Our school is a Creative and Performing Arts High School in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Kensington is a neighborhood of Philadelphia that has a child poverty rate nearly double the city average. Looking to our community to fund supplies themselves has been difficult.
Our students deserve the opportunity to improve, learn, perform, and work at the highest level possible, these basic supplies help make that a reality.
The audio recorder will allow our choir students to record and listen to their voices during rehearsals. The steamer will allow students to perform proudly in wrinkle-free wardrobe. The batteries, power adapter, and card holder will allow the students to smoothly record and capture the performances for all to enjoy.
Any help provided, will help make sure these tiger cubs grow up to roar!
