My students need open ended hands on materials such as Kaplan Dough - 3 lb. Tub and Magna-Tiles . We also need a carpet for the children to use during work time or exploratory play.

My Students
My students this year are a sweet group of precious four year old babies! They enjoy school and are eager to learn. My school is in a low socioeconomic area. Our Pre-K program is the fist educational experience for most of the families we serve. We are fortunate enough to be able to provide a program to our community, but resources are often hard to furnish.
As a Pre-K teacher my goal is to give them the experiences they need to be successful in school and in life.
My Project
These materials will be used in small group times to help Pre-K children advance in many ways. Through the use of play dough and magnetic tiles the children will help develop and strengthen fine motor skills, which Pre-K students will need to learn to hold a pencil,learn to write, color, button pants, open milks, open doors, etc. These materials can also be used together with other resources (such as letters) to create a fun memorable phonics lesson or with numbers to create a math lesson.
These materials will also allow for creativity and outside of the box thinking.
These items allow for open ended play. A child can create anything they can imagine, and they can be use in many different ways. With your donations we can give the children the Pre-K experience they need to be successful in school.
