My students need a great sound system for us to use in dance class. The louder the music, the more my students can get lost in their dancing!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
If you were to pass my classroom don't be surprised to hear my students shouting, "I am strong, fierce, and fabulous." At Albert Einstein, not only do I teach creativity and movement but also self-worth, values, and morals.
In dance we are friends, a community, a support system, and most importantly a family.
My students are from a low income area. Their home lives are extremely tough. Due to challenges faced at home and in school, their drive and passion for learning is lacking. I work with them in the dance classroom to bring that desire and appetite for learning back to life. My dancers work hard to learn movement, life, and social skills. My students strive to create, problem solve, explore, take risks, and perform any movement task I had their way. They face their stage fright as they get up on stage and show their parents, guardians, teachers, administrators and peers what they have created and what kind of dance community they've become. Because of their hard work and perseverance I want to give my students materials and supports to continue to foster their learning and help it to continue to grow.
My Project
In dance class, music and movement go hand in hand. My students deserve to know what it feels like to have a real Dance Studio. Having a stereo system will help make my Dance Class begin to transform into a real Dance Studio Setting.
Having a strong stereo system will help my students to feel the music and allow it to inspire their movement.
They will be able to connect and create in a more accessible way. Currently, we use a little speaker that is very hard to hear. Having a stereo system will allow for their creativity to continue to flow and for successful dances to be made!
