My students need several different writing supplies for 24 students, such as markers and crayons and their own personal journal. They also need a special place to put their writing material, this will motivate them and help them to become creative. The mobile organizer will help them put their markers, crayons, and journals away from their cluttered desk. They also need help with their reading and learning to write that is where I lack materials such as the Spanish syllable book and the reading rods. The better they can sound out words the better they will be able to write. The dry erase markers will help them when we do guided reading. They will be able to write the words they have problems reading in a small erase board and chunk the word for better reading. This will also help them to visually see the words in colors in their own handwriting which will help them remember the word.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a poor neighborhood in Pennsylvania. About 96% of my students live in poverty. These children come to my class and all they can talk about is something they have seen on television or the shots they heard from their bedroom the night before. They seldom leave their neighborhoods. What I try to expose them to is how big the world is. I will bring in pictures of different parts of the world and ask them to write or draw how they feel about what they see. They can be very creative drawing, and surprising sometimes with the things they write. I try to bring as much as I can to my classroom but this is my first year teaching so I need materials.
My students have no materials. Some brought in a pack of 8 crayons in the beginning of the school year, but we have used them all up. When I ask for materials from their parents they always say they do not have enough money to buy any.
My students have no art class so I try to integrate art with any subject. For example, they were having a hard time understanding subtraction, so I asked them to draw 10 gum balls and pretend that putting an X on them would mean they are eating them, they had to eat 3 and then count how many were left. This visual helped them understand math. This solution to helping the students find their answers seems easy, but its not for us, because we lack the materials. My students need several different writing supplies for 24 students, such as markers and crayons and their own personal journal. They also need a special place to put their writing material, this will motivate them and help them to become creative.
The needed materials will allow the students to knock over an obstacle and allow them to express themselves without limitations because they will be able to draw how they feel, what they think, and what they want people to know about them. They will be able to be organized by keeping everything nicely put in the containers.
