Compassion Challenge 2021

As children across the nation face unprecedented mental health challenges due to ongoing effects of the pandemic, educators are placing renewed focus on building kinder, more compassionate classroom communities. The Compassion Project is a national initiative to teach elementary school students about compassion, empathy, and mindfulness -- and help educators facilitate lessons around important Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills. Thank you for participating in this fall's National Compassion Challenge, a fun and easy way for teachers to build classroom community by helping students foster empathy and compassion for their classmates, even in a virtual environment.

Before beginning this survey, please be sure you've completed the reflection activity with your students and challenged other teachers to participate by posting on Twitter or Instagram. If you don't use social media, you may email your colleagues instead. During the survey, you'll be asked for details about each of these steps. If everything checks out after you fill out this form, you'll be emailed your $100 DonorsChoose gift code within two weeks.
