My students need a variety of literacy and writing tools to continue to develop their usage and understanding of the English language. My students could practice reading and writing English using the selected materials. The pocket chart would serve as a visual aid for words and daily schedule items. Since there is no rug in the classroom, it would be a welcome addition so students can work in groups as they participate in word study and other literacy lessons and as they engage in whole class meetings to interact with their English-speaking peers. Let's get the fourth-graders off to a successful start!
