We have 414 students - more than 80% are eligible for free/reduced lunch. In the 50s, Commercial Township was a huge oyster harvesting community. The oysters came down with a disease and the once very rich town became impoverished. The oyster industry is still very much apart of this community but it is now riddled with poverty & substance abuse.
