I teach third grade reading in an inner-city school, it can be hard to get students motivated to learn especially when they are 1-2 years below grade level. My classroom is made up of diverse learners and therefore I use a variety of methods and strategies to reach them. My goal is to have a classroom that teaches the 21st century skills needed to succeed in today's ever-changing society. I want to create opportunities and a learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity and the thinking dispositions needed for my students to be successful.
