The stylus pens you would be helping me purchase would be the "pencils" of my classroom. Imagine having to prove your thinking and write an equation with your finger when you are already struggling to remember, concentrate, or struggle with fine motor skills? Erasing and starting over is frustrating, creates low self-esteem, and also a fixed "I just can't do it" mindset. Because of the apps that I have access to, I can provide live-in-the-moment instruction to a student that may need help, without anyone else in the classroom knowing the student is struggling. This strategy has proven to be an enormous gift for my students that have low confidence or struggle to show their thought processes. Using their device, and a recording app, I can watch as they solve, create, decode words in a text, examine a strategy in reading/writing. I can see with ease exactly what a student needs as if he/she is in front of me if they have a clear thought process laid out. The use of these stylus pens will tremendously impact the learning potential in my classroom.
