Students use tables/ desks to complete work both independently and through a workshop model. In workshop students move from activity to activity at their own pace. During workshop, they are building, investigating, writing, collaborating, all at various areas of the room. Some activities are best done at the carpet or on a clipboard, but most activities are done at tables. Flower tables will greatly enhance the workshop experience for all students. The circular shape of the flower table promotes collaboration. The insets allow all students to reach supplies in the center of the table. The smaller size (as compared to their current tables) will let students move around the classroom more easily. These tables will greatly support my students by creating more productive and efficient learning environment.
