The last two months have been uncertain for all of us but mostly, for our young students. They left school abruptly and unprepared to be learning from home. They did not have the opportunity to take their school supplies with them. As mentioned before, the majority of my students are from low income households. This has made it difficult for them to have the necessary tools to engage in educational activities at home beyond those through the use of electronic devices provided by the school district.
It is very important for preschool students to have plenty of opportunities to participate in hands-on activities to stimulate their minds. The materials I'm asking for will allow my students to complete writing assignments using hands-on, traditional, writing tools. The calendar book will give them a sense of time and also, the ability to practice their numbers. The play dough and Mini Magic Boards are age appropriate tools that will engage them into playing practices at home that will help them to stimulate their fine motor skills.
