My students are very eager to learn when they come into my classroom every day. I have 25 students in my class and I love each and every one of them. Since technology is such a vital part of today's society, I strive to make the use of it exciting for my students on a daily basis. The school I work at provides free or reduced lunch for 94% of its students. A good percentage of my students show up an hour before school starts because we provide free breakfast for the entire building. The teachers are not provided with a budget to purchase materials to address the specific needs of our students. I try my best to provide as much as I can for them, but it is difficult. My students absolutely love when I incorporate technology into my lessons, especially laptops. We use a program called MegaMath that allows the students to play games while reviewing math skills and concepts. I've also introduced them to iMovie and GarageBand as a way to create instructional videos and tutorials.
