Welcome to my classroom....where MAGIC happens!!! My students attend a highly specialized Strand classroom for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorders. Our students are enthusiastic learners and enjoy the predictability and consistency our classroom environment provides them with. Due to their diagnosis, our students have difficulty with communication and social interactions. All adults working with the students collaborate to provide them with positive, supportive and consistent learning environments. Our class is centered in the integral part of each child's development. We provide our students with the type of education that improves their quality of life, often in small but significant ways. Instruction is individualized and in small group settings to engage in hands on math, writing and reading activities and maximize student growth.
