My classroom is small because often the students that I service come in small groups. I also spend a lot of time in their classrooms teaching them communication. My role is not just between the four walls of the room that has my name outside the door. My role is to help students be effective communicators and that is done often in the classroom. My students struggle not only with communication but often have other needs like sensory, emotional, etc. The power of communication is so important. I feel that my students will be successful in life if they can learn effective communication.
