My student athletes come from a mostly ESL/LEP population as well a very low-income community. They attend a Title 1 school due to the fact that most of them are considered at risk. With all that is going against them, I have never seen anyone of them use these disadvantage to hold them back. They come to school and practice everyday with a smile on their face and a determination to be successful.
