Students come from a diverse range of backgrounds. What ties us all together is the desire to become more comfortable with math and less afraid of it. The students that enter the intervention lab are very aware of the challenges they face in math. Often they are eager to receive the additional support and gain significant confidence from the additional practice. The lab provides an opportunity for students, who may struggle in the regular math classroom, the opportunity to thrive in a smaller setting. The rotation of 4 types of targeted intervention ensures that each days they are experiencing math supports that they need to be successful in math. Though the range of skills and skill levels varies, the setting and use of technology allows for targeted intervention for over 100 students a day.
