I teach a full day kindergarten class of 27 in a Title 1, public charter school with the Milwaukee Public School District. My active and motivated five and six-year-old scholars are learning how to read, write, and be peaceful citizens of the world! Take a peek inside our classroom and you'll find scholars learning their alphabets and sounds, reading texts of various levels and genres, working on addition and subtraction, learning about community helpers and the seven continents, and much, much more. Have a conversation with my scholars and you'll understand why teachers wake up every day to fulfill this role.
