My students really need a working radio with a tape player and CD player. Many of the supplies in the school system today tend to be old and out of date. Most books available for our listening centers are still on cassettes. My classroom radio broke a few years ago and I have supplied a few more. However, these, too, were purchased from second hand shops. How can I be sure they are listening? My students would definitely benefit from being read to while being able to track print and learn fluency. Listening centers can also help students with story elements and comprehension. These types of centers are important to keep kids learning while the teacher is working with small groups and giving out leveled instruction. Please help my children become better readers and listeners by supporting my project. Thank you in advance.
