My students live in a high-poverty area. Many of their parents are looking for a job. The lucky ones that have an income source, can't afford the high costs of new technology. I am the intervention teacher and service students from grades K to 6. ALL of them have extremely short attention spans. Only the new gadgets, like the touch-screen tablets, attract their interest.
