Research has shown the layout of the classroom environment can contribute to children’s self-regulation when it is arranged so that children can function independently. High-quality physical environments may be especially important for children who experience social and economic risks and may serve as a protective factor for these children. The wish of this project is to help replace our cubbies that were damaged by flooding and support the children in setting their environment up for success. Many of the children in our classroom come from lower income and have experienced hardships and trauma in their short lives. We hope to provide a safe place that is tailored to meet their various needs and help give them a positive learning experience. With extreme gratitude, Ms. Santoro
