These GO Talks will be used to teach kids to use an alternative method to communicate. My students are verbal and very bright but some have a diagnosis of Apraxia of speech which is a motor planning difficulty that make their speech very difficult to understand by others.These children are reluctant to attempt to communicate as they are fully aware that they are not easily understood. The Go Talks will be used in speech groups to increase spontaneous communication between the students. These devices will help them develop another method to communicate and help them become more confident in their skills to express their wants, needs and most importantly their dreams.
