These materials will allow the children to explore in new ways. We need a light table and crystal building blocks, human x-rays, translucent imagination builders and pegs and pegboard. The light table is something these children have not experienced before which will open up an whole new want to explore and experiment. The manipulatives will provide the children a new and exciting way to explore with color, building, putting parts together to make a whole, and how objects may look different when light is added. These will be a great addition to our room . I am looking forward to the children using their imaginations to explore cause and effect. This will also provide them with the background knowledge they need to be successful in kindergarten and first grade.
