In our South Carolina state standards students need to be able to use a calculator to solve and graph functions as well as understand the capability of calculators. We currently do not have calculators that are up to date with our technology. We are seeking some new TI-84 graphing calculators that students will be able to check out and use for the year. By giving our students the opportunity to have their own graphing calculator for the year we are teaching them how to use technology at hand to help solve problems. We will also be plowing students to use a variety of methods to solve problems.
