My students are very interested in drums and drums are very deeply embedded into the culture that they and their families come from. I am asked frequently from my students when we are going to play drums, so I would love to provide this new opportunity for them to experience playing drums. I am excited about this new program because the World Music Drumming curriculum opens the doors for learning about many different cultures from all over the world. My students come from several different cultures and I know that they will benefit not only from learning more about their own culture, but also learning about the cultures of their fellow classmates as well.
