My students are 16-18 year old young men and women. I always have several athletes that weigh 250+ pounds and many of my students are over 6ft tall. I want to create a reading area with comfortable seating and give my students an alternative to hard, cold metal chairs. I chose heavy duty camp chairs, wobble cushions and back rests to accommodate all sizes. The clipboards and lap desks are to allow them to read, write, and use the laptops while stretched out in the floor. To dampen the glare of fluorescent lights, I chose light blue calming filters. My students will be so excited to have the opportunity to sit in the floor, stretch their legs out and read under the filtered light.
