I am a small town, classroom teacher who needs welcoming classroom materials and furniture. I want my classroom to be a safe and homey place for my students. I want my classroom to be a place they can relax in and feel at home. In my classroom, I want my students to feel comfortable in their own skin and relaxed. I use picture books a lot in my classroom to introduce new skills or topics. I agree with Romana in the fact that students need to visually see and feel the skills they are learning in order to "Open the magic" themselves. Therefore, this is why I would love to recreate my classroom to feel like a cozy coffee shop with new tables, shelves, a storage rack, corkboard, a globe light and new books. I dream of working in a place where my students are encouraged to settle down and really want to put in their best effort in a place they are able to "open the magic."
