The students in my classroom are kindergarten and first graders that are Autistic. Our classroom is run in small groups in order to keep the students motivated and interested in the required academics. Students are coached with positive behavior reinforcers and earn points to use towards a class store based on good behaviors. The staff to student ratio is small in order to best serve the students. Our students earn the right to phase into the general education setting for academics and are allowed to take part in specials with their general education peers. Our school is a Kindergarten through sixth grade campus. Our teachers are devoted to students thriving and succeeding on every level. We are listed as an A campus and are taking the necessary steps to be an A+ campus very soon. The staff supports our students in the program and encourages them to spend time in their classrooms.
