My students are predominantly African American. We are a community school that was once on probation and now can compete with top selective enrollment schools. Our students' abilities and level of achievement has a wide range. We differentiate instruction so as to reach struggling learners as well as advanced learners. Our administration and staff are deeply committed and devoted to ensuring student success. We have high expectations and prepare our students for the future. Our students face many challenges at home and in the community such as crime and poverty. Our school community is a safe haven for students to develop academically as well as socially.
