In my ESL Biology class we combine science content with the acquisition of English. Technology is limited to what I scrounge together. I often utilize the computers I have rebuilt to provide interactive simulations and animations, as well as translations to everyday work. My students work hard to overcome difficult home situations, language barriers, and discrimination to access their education. This is in addition to PTSD many suffer from due to chaos and war in their home countries. This makes attention-grabbing lessons all the more important. They deserve the finest materials, but must settle for what I can get them. Hopefully, with your help, I can provide those things they deserve.
