I am the Health&Physical Education teacher at Yorkship Family School in Camden N.J. I teach grades PreK-8th grade. My students are from one of the poorest districts in the country in which 93% of the families live below the poverty line. The kids are very active and need as many outlets for positive activities as possible. Our classroom is our gym and an asphalt yard outside. Our Gym is fair sized, but missing some important elements, for the students to get the most out of their Physical Education experience. These students need the chance to experience how great and necessary physical education can be especially for developing a healthy active lifestyle.
