Flexible seating is a great way for my students to become more active in their learning. Having a counter height table will help with the students who may not want to sit all day. Choosing the way that is comfortable for them to engage in their learning will help me as well as them become more focused. Students will be able to pick their spot for the day. Maybe the child is more engaged in learning by sitting on the floor while using a lapdesk and whiteboard. Having the option for the students to pick floor seating, rocking, or sitting on stools will make the students feel like they have a choice in their learning.
