I teach an advanced set of students who are learning about horticulture in a practical application setting. We are in need of some safety equipment and some essentials to getting our projects up and running. We have Micropogogations where students will use rooting hormone and other items that require specific equipment and good safety equipment. Students will utilize the materials to create complex and effective irrigation systems to be used for years to come in many different kinds of alternatives to old-fashioned watering systems. This year as a part of the Horticulture class we are learning how to create Micro irrigation systems to minimize water usage in gardening plants that is why we have selected the Sprinkler System in our cart. We will also be working with growing hormones and sprays in the greenhouse. Because we will be working with spray hormones I have included eye protection bellow for the safety of myself and students. We will also be needing some new shovels to dig up areas of the horticulture unit in order to lay out our new sprinkler system and to test it for industry relevant accuracy. The landscape drip irrigation kits will help students learn how to utilize drip irrigation to help curve water use in Urban areas while keeping plants alive and happy. Students will gain a wealth of personal and effective skills for gardening that can lead to jobs after high school.
