Exploring STEM topics with hands-on activities sparks enthusiasm and spurs students to research and explore topics more deeply. Graxitrax marble runs will allow them to experiment with physics and simple machines; Snap Circuits will encourage exploration of circuits and pathways; and IQ Builder, Connectagons and the playground design set will challenge them to work through the processes of engineering and design. These kits will build excitement for specific units, allow teachers to create STEM challenges, and serve as a learning-based reward. These items have been carefully chosen to ensure that all students, Kindergarten through 5th grade, have a variety of age-appropriate learning opportunities. Housing the kits in the library will allow every student to experience and benefit from them.
