My Transitional Kindergarten students (4 and 5 year olds) enjoy creating, building, and learning. Coding is a skill that is usually begun in the higher grades; however this skill can begin in TK too! The Bee Bots would allow me to create a hands-on unit on coding. Many of my students do not have access to STEM materials at home. Having the Bee Bots would allow them to have many developmentally appropriate experiences with STEM and coding. They would be able to learn the basics of coding, while being able to see their learning in action! The Bee Bots would also help them learn to work collaboratively in small groups as they program, test, and rework their plans.
