With these books, students in our classroom will be able to relate to characters more like them. Representation matters and I want to add more variety to our classroom library. These books will do just that! Students will be able to pick up books and read about characters who are like them, and also they will be able to learn from characters who are different from them. These books are highly rated, and I think they will add a great touch to our growing literacy-rich classroom. From sports to representing different types of people in this world, these books provide a wide range of interests and points of view. Plus, the graphic novels are always a hit with fourth graders! They are highly engaging, and students love reading the story through dialogue and pictures.
