I want to have a class set of Wonder by R.J. Palacio to not only teach my required reading curriculum, but also to teach and strengthen our character education. This book teaches so many life lessons. For students getting ready go into middle school and teenage years, accepting people for who they are, instead of how they look, is an important skill. More importantly, this book encourages kindness towards others, no matter how small. A little kindness goes a long way. Being able to share this book with my students (and all future classes) will teach important life lessons while teaching required curriculum and hopefully instilling a love for literature. For students interested, I would like 1 copy of each additional book by the author available. An audio copy of the book would help my struggling readers.
