Right now our middle school has a diverse range of students. These students are located centrally in the Silicon Valley. Our school has some technology courses like Minecraft explorations and engineering machine designs, but we need a larger variety of options. As a former engineer, it is my hope to guide interested students down a path of STEAM excitement. I hope to work alongside interested budding engineers that want to see their designs come to life in robotics or 3D printed models. Choice in robotics platform like Makeblock, EV3, Edison, and more leads to creative designs. Creating engineering designs using 3-D Printers adds more STEAM to standard curriculum like coding, engineering design, physics, and math. Particular it links engineering design and math to immediate application. Student excitement + parent excitement = 21st century learning. Please help me and our school reach future designers and engineers!
