I teach in a growing school district on the outskirts of a larger city. Despite our growth, we still maintain the feeling of a small community school. We have amazing community support. The school district is not classified as a low-income school so when materials are needed for the classroom, I have to ask students and their parents to supply them since other funding sources are not usually available. We ask a lot of our families and sometimes are just not able to offer what the students need.

About my class
