My school is a neighborhood school located in a low income area. Because we are in a low income area we lack many of the technological resources to run a modern classroom. Most of my students' families lack the resources to provide them with books and school supplies. My students have little to no exposure to books at home, so most of their interactions with books happens in school. They are still working on acquiring the vocabulary and reading strategies that can help them succeed as readers.
