Wonder. Something I desire to ignite in the minds of my tiny scholars. In my class we push the boundaries of "normal". I encourage my students to feel comfortable in our classroom by creating a safe learning environment. I allow my students to sit on the tops of desks, utilize the two bean bags I brought from home all so school, the classroom and reading is not boring. Let's be honest kids simply aren’t meant to sit still all day long none of us are. Alternative seating is innovative and a practice that is praised. Though creating an innovative environment that allows for my students to learn comfortably in addition to the educational interventions requested I feel my class would propel my class on the path towards greatness. The educational supports requested, leveled readers, math centers and language centers are paramount in engaging students. Guided reading and guided math are paramount in my classroom because it allows for students to practice their newly acquired skills independent of their teacher and allows them to collaboratively work together.
