These materials will get the students excited about going to the reading area to read. Being comfortable makes it easier for students to stay on task. The bean bag chairs will be a great way students could read independently or with a partner. The carpet allows students the freedom to read in any position without being on the empty floor. Having the carpet will allow students to sit on the floor while reading and the bean bag chairs would be another option. Reading is a time to relax and when the students are comfortable and calm they can focus. This will allow them to do just that.
