For a lot of my students, it isn't easy to sit and listen to a story. That is because they need to learn with more purpose. It is when we create opportunities and interactions with our students that they begin to learn and understand the story being read to them. When this happens, my students can begin to sequence and point out the key elements of the story. We are requesting laminator and laminating sheets to make our materials durable and velcro which will help to create an interactive activity. These supplies bring the books and corresponding activities to life. The supplies allow me to print and create activities that correspond with story books, that work on different language concepts such as spatial concepts (in, out, on off, behind, next to, etc), sequencing, narratives, attributes (color, size, shape), and much more. The laminator allows me to create durable products that I can reuse it with other students who are working on the same language concepts. It also reduces waste in our environment, and cuts down on the amount of resources used.
