Our preK room is jam-packed full of great centers that are safe, fun, and organized for the kids. Our doorway area is NOT so safe and organized thus the need for the Mobile backpack cart. Our backpacks are stored next to the door against the wall. I have a few hooks for hanging backpacks and coats, but there is not room for any additional hooks and some backpacks and coats must go on the floor. I have to rearrange them every time we line up or someone trips. (And cries.) There is no place else to put them. We also recently turned our living center into a restaurant/grocery store so that we can learn about shopping, supply and demand, and money. A working cash register will enhance the pretend-play shopping and dining scenarios!
