I really think that real life slides will get my students excited about the little monsters inside us (figuratively speaking). Parasitology has connections to biology, chemistry, anatomy, epidemiology, environmental science, zoology, sex ed., and much more. I think my students will benefit from learning about parasitic life cycles, how they affect developing countries and spread disease, as well as the unknown passengers currently taking residence on their own faces. The slides I am asking for will be a game changer in the way my students look at life and the world around them. I know that parasitology may not be suitable for the squeamish, but life is full of unsavory truths and I would like to be the one to expose them to some through the microscope.
